Synopsis of background:
Dr. Rudolfo Llinás is Professor of Physiology and Biophysics at the New York University. Trained in Bogota and in Australia, Dr. Llinás has received the UNESCO Albert Einstein Gold Medal Award and honorary doctorates from the University of Salamanca and Universidad de Barcelona. He was bestowed the Order de Bejaca from the Colombian Presidency in 1992. Dr. Llinás has hundreds of publications in books and peer-reviewed journals around his research in the cerebellum.
